Jonathan's Surgery

Peaceful after his surgery!

Jonathan went in at noon and he was done with surgery around 3:30pm.  The Dr. said everything went very well.  Jonathan had plenty of extra dura and skin to make a nice closure, it looks really good.  The Dr said, Jonathan's spinal cord and roots looked healthy (he didn't have to remove anything) and the movement he has in his feet is still strong.  We will still have to wait and see on the shunt, but the Dr. seems very hopeful that we may not need one.  Either way, Jonathan is doing GREAT!! He is stable and breathing on his own.  Post surgery he was so clam, looking all around and sucking on my finger.  He's got such a sweet spirit!
He has to continue to lay on his belly and stay flat, until he heals up, and to avoid any compression of his spine.  It means we have to lay flat while holding him, but it's totally ok by me!
Later on tonight, after we all rest a bit, Caleb and I get to visit and hold him again!! I'm so excited!
I'll post more pictures later:)
THANK YOU ALL FOR KEEPING UP AND FOR YOUR PRAYERS, GOD IS LISTENING!
